The result of almost 600 years of brewing expertise.
What makes our beer taste so good? Since 1450, we’ve been brewing with passion and in strict accordance with the German Purity Law. Today, the fourth generation of the Eser family carries on this tradition. Our most famous beer, the Operator, even contributed to the reopening of Munich’s National Theater in 1963.

OPERATOR Beer
This festive beer was first brewed in 1963 to celebrate the reopening of Munich’s National Theater after the war. That’s where the name “Operator” comes from - a reference to the opera.
You can enjoy OPERATOR all year round at our restaurant.
History
Estate Brewery Odelzhausen
Since the 10th century, this piece of land has passed from one owner to another - noble families, counts, and later citizens of Munich and Augsburg. Since 1450, beer has been brewed here, and since 1918, the estate has beenin the Eser family's hands.
Perhaps the most remarkable story took place in 1963:
Two strangers showed up unannounced at the estate and were in desperate need of a strong beer - to celebrate the reopening of the Munich National Theater. At first, Grandfather Eser suspected them of trying to trick him - “You'll see, they are gangsters!”, he said, but agreed anyway. 200 crates of OPERATOR were secretly transported to Munich in a milk truck to avoid stirring up resentments among Munich’s major breweries.
Over the years, we’ve brewed many different beers, but three have stood the test of time: OPERATOR, filtered Hell, and cloudy Naturtrüb. Only good things last.
